PRESIDENT’S CORNER
Howdy Aggies,
School has started and summer is coming to an end. That means that football and ‘cooler’ weather is right around the corner. We can hope can’t we?!? As we live in central Texas the ‘cooler’ weather of fall is certainly ‘relative’ and short lived in these parts but kick-off to another season of Aggie football is only 10 days away.
As many of you prepare to head to campus for any of the sporting events, please be aware of the new ‘clear bag’ policy. We have put all the information as well as a link to the 12thMan policy details in this newsletter.
Thanks to all who came out for the SEC Picnic last weekend. The rain held off just long enough for us to enjoy most of the day, good Aggie BBQ thanks to Mr. Bill Benker ’90 and plenty of adult beverages. This event continues to grow and is a great draw for the entire family. See event photos here.
As a club, we continue to work toward providing networking opportunities as well social activities that fit varying interest. We are open to suggestions, as well volunteers, to provide new and fun activities. Our search continues for our Hullabaloo Huddle watch parties location as we have yet to find a location that will be accommodating to our Maroon Spirit. If you know of an establishment that may be interested in hosting our A&M Club for game day watch parties please let us know. GigEm@wcamc.com

WEEKLY EVENTS
We work hard to offer a variety of events in hopes that your schedule will allow you to join as often as possible. We realize everyone is busy but it is always good to take a little time for friends and expand your network. We will continue our ‘THURSDAY’ event schedule, but keep your eyes open for a few twist as we move through the year.
This week we will have our Howdy Hour at Red Horn in Cedar Park. Be sure to take a little extra time on your way home to meet some new folk’s or say HOWDY to familiar faces. Good opportunity for a little Aggie speak and networking at one of our locally AGGIE owned locations. fb.com/events/239050513147802
Next week we will kick off the month with our Reveille Breakfast at Rudy’s BBQ. We will be just a couple days away from the kickoff of the season so I am sure that will be a hot topic.
Gig’Em,
David A. Johnson ’87
