Howdy Ags,
Winter has certainly set into central Texas, based on the lines at the grocery store you would have thought there was food shortage, not just below 30 temperatures. Fortunately we did not have some of the rain that occurred further south, for the most part, life went on as usual.
With January also comes a change for the club, certainly hope you find time to join us for our annual membership meeting which will be held in conjunction with our January – 4th Thursday Howdy Hour. We will gather in the bar at Gumbos’ North – Georgetown about 5:30, we will then have our business meeting beginning about 6:30, of course the bar will be open after the meeting as well. Our annual meeting allows us to recap the activities of the club and provide information of what lies ahead. One of our big agenda items this year is a new club president. I have been fortunate to be president of WCAMC over the last several years, however, I look forward to being involved in a new role as we move forward. The current board has worked to present a new slate of officers/board members which will be voted on at the meeting. Please make plans to join us.
With the start of the new year we are back to our full slate of weekly Thursday activities. If you would like to assist in arranging where we meet for one of our luncheons or Howdy Hours, please let us know. This week we will meet for networking lunch at Tortuga Flats, always a popular spot with a great turn out.
Gig’Em,
David A. Johnson ’87 President, WCAMC
